How to swap clips in the Premiere Pro timeline

How to swap clips in adobe premiere pro timeline

Hold down the Command+Option keys (Control+Alt for PC) and drag your clip over to swap them.

If you want to swap or rearrange some clips in your timeline find the clip you want to swap, hold down the Command+Option keys and drag your clip to the new location.

    This is not working for me! I don’t know why. Someone I spoke to on the phone said re-naming the Premiere Pro folder in documents would reset settings, and that did nothing.

    I follow these instructions exactly as it says but it just continues to overwrite. What setting am I forgetting about?
